- Parents co-operate! The preschool is administered by a volunteer board of directors. All parents attend general meetings and have a say in how the preschool operates.
- Enrolled children are 2 years 6 months of age when they start preschool. Additionally there are up to three spaces per class for toddlers who are between 24 and 30 months of age.
- Children may be registered anytime during the school year until all spots have been filled.
- We have one qualified teacher who is trained in preschool education, has her Early Childhood Education Diploma and is registered with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators. The teacher is also certified in first aid and CPR.
- We have 2 or 3 assistant teachers based on enrollment.
Children attend Monday and Wednesday mornings or Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Children may also be enrolled in all four mornings.
Classes run from 9:00 until 12:00 with drop-off beginning at 9:00. Drop-off beginning at 8:00 is available for an additional fee.
- The board is run by volunteer parents.
- It is made up of the Chair, Vice chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Registrar
- They meet once a month as a group including the teacher
- The Board oversees the running of the preschool with input from all members.
